Community Connectors working with adults throughout the borough. They will aim to re-connect people with their communities by helping them find suitable activities and groups, linking people together who have similar interests and encouraging participation within their community.

Community Connectors are now working in the upper Rhymney Valley with each of the GP surgeries (with the exception of Gelligaer Surgery at this time).

Community Connectors aim to:

  • Promote wellbeing

  • Reduce social isolation

  • Help people feel part of their community

  • Promote independence

  • Provide information & advice on suitable community groups and activities

Community Connectors also attend the developing Talking Cafes, e.g. at Victoria House in Rhymney every other Tuesday (see the what's on page for details) and provide support through their roles at IAA.
